Chumley was fantastic! We got 6 bids and theirs was very reasonable but here’s what really made them stand out:

- Jackson did a thorough inspection and found things no other company noticed (like a beam slipping off a shim)

- He created a video describing the issues and recommended fixes (this was so helpful because it’s difficult to remember what we talked about and I could easily share the video with my spouse)

- Jackson answered all of our questions and then the work was scheduled for the following week (not 2-3 months out like some other companies’ schedules)

- The repair team was friendly and respectful, showed up on time, and got the work done in 1 day!

We noticed that the garage ceiling in our 1970’s ranch house was sagging, so I called Chumley for an estimate. I’ve never experienced this sort of home repair before so I had no idea what to expect.

Jackson came out to give us an estimate. The problem was a 5-6” crack in the 22’ beam in the attic across the width of our garage. He immediately sent a team to install temporary supports, scheduled the repair, and was responsive to our questions.

Taylor and Kenny spent 3 days doing the repair. First they carefully brought the beam back together, which remedied the sagging ceiling. Then, with minimal disruption to the rest of the ceiling, were able to install 22’ supports on both sides of the beam. They offered suggestions on how to proceed with any future garage projects that might involve the attic.

It is extremely nerve wracking to have a problem with the structural integrity of your ceiling, but Jackson, Taylor and Kenny were so kind, knowledgeable and efficient…I knew we were in great hands. In my experience, it’s not common to have contractors who are excellent at their jobs, but also great communicators. I’d recommend them without hesitation.

I had a really good experience with them. They came out for an estimate and gave me what I believe was the first honest assessment and quote I'd received. They didn't try to upsell me or recommend work I didn't actually need.

This was the fourth company I'd had out, and with the others, I always felt like they were focused on making the most money from the job rather than finding a reasonable solution to the problem. We worked with Chumley to improve the foundation under an addition to our house, and we had a great experience from start to finish. We got multiple bids for the project, and Chumley’s was by far the most thorough. Jackson even included a video with the bid walking through everything we had discussed in detail, along with different options and considerations. It gave us a lot of confidence that we understood the scope of work and our choices before moving forward.

Jackson, Taylor, and Kenny were primarily the team members working at our house, and they were all excellent. The entire team was communicative throughout the project, kept us updated on what was happening, and proactively let us know about any timeline changes. The work was completed as outlined in the bid, and we always felt like we knew what to expect.

Cody did a amazing job we had cracks in the mortar and the bricks and Cody did amazing job in blending and the new bricks and the mortar work. She so you’re not aware that any work has been completed. He also took care of making sure that he found bricks that match the current bricks which is not always so easy due to the home being built in 1998. We also had a few corner pops that needed repair. I had a great experience with both Joe and Mitch.  Joe helped me on a phone call when I was evaluating purchasing an older home that had foundation cracks. He spent much time with me discussing what to look for and potential costs and was very thorough in our conversation.  I appreciated him taking the time out of his day to help educate me as it is all new to me. I ended up purchasing a different home, which also had some foundation cracks.  Chumley sent Mitchell Grant out for an inspection of the cracks. Mitch did a crawl space inspection to see the cracks from the inside and dug down next to them in the rock and dirt on the outside to see the extent from the exterior as well.  He spent a lot of time explaining everything to me, discussing my options, making recommendations and I was impressed with how professional and knowledgeable he was. The owner of the business came out for the initial estimate appointment and quickly came up with a plan. By the end of the day, I received an emailed estimate to complete the job and the price was much more reasonable than the other 2-3 companies who bid on the job. We were in a time crunch and they were able to fit us in just in the nick of time! While on the job, the crews ran into some unforeseen issues and had to quickly come up with a plan to be able to complete the job and they certainly delivered! This was our first experience with this company. The owner came out to assess the job himself, offering us ideas and advice as he thoroughly explained our options (without salesman pressure) based on his expertise. We soon received an email report clarifying the three possible scopes of work and associated costs for us to review. We are new home owners and really appreciated his flexibility and good communication with us answering all our questions as they came up. He was patient and helpful through our decision process. The owner and his crew were all very professional, efficient and delivered the work as expected in a timely way. The owner performed the final on-site inspection taking our schedules into consideration as was done when scheduling the start date as well. Although the city has been very slow to issue a permit for the work on our house, Joe has been on top of it. We had the opportunity to work with Joe and his crew to replace 2 load bearing beams. We wanted to reconfigure our family room and living area.  Joe showed up to our first meeting on time and was extremely professional. He took the time to explain things and what he thought would benefit us. I had quotes given from multiple contractors and Joe as able to give us a great price for such quick turnaround. The following week he had a crew install the 2 beams. The construction was completed over the course of 2 days and although we didn't have the opportunity to meet the crew our home was left spotless each day.
